Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. NEITHER A PURCHASE NOR A PAYMENT WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED SOLELY BY BINDING ARBITRATION AND ENTRANTS WAIVE THE ABILITY TO BRING CLAIMS IN A CLASS ACTION FORMAT.
1. Eligibility
The Dodgers Reading Champions Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is offered only to
individuals who, at the time of entry, are (a) legal residents of Los Angeles County, Orange
County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Kern County, Ventura County, Santa
Barbara County, or San Luis Obispo County in the state of California, (b) at least eighteen (18)
years of age or older, and (c) the parent or legal guardian of a child at least five (5) years of age
and no older than fourteen (14) years of age (each such child, a "Child"). Employees, officers,
directors, and advisors of The EduNetwork Partners, Inc. ("ENP" or the "Administrator"), Los
Angeles Dodgers LLC ("Dodgers"), The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation ("Dodgers
Foundation"; and together with Dodgers, collectively referred to herein as the "Sponsors"), the
MLB Entities (as defined below), and each of their respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary
companies, and advertising and promotion agencies, web masters, and web suppliers, and all
persons engaged in the development of the Sweepstakes and/or Sweepstakes materials, and
members of the immediate family (parents, siblings, children [natural, adopted, foster] and
spouse, wherever they reside) and household members (whether or not related) of such
employees, officers, directors, and advisors, are not eligible. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the
Office of the Commissioner of Baseball ("BOC"), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees, and
Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLB"), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The
MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), each of their parent,
subsidiary, affiliated, and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is
controlled by, or is under common control with, the Clubs or BOC and the owners, general and
limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents of the foregoing
entities. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and all decisions of the Administrator
and the Sponsors, which are final and binding in all respects. The Sweepstakes is subject to all
applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Void outside Los Angeles
County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Kern County, Ventura
County, Santa Barbara County, and San Luis Obispo County in the State of California, and
where prohibited.
2. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and
acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors and/or the Administrator,
which are absolute, final, and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with
these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
3. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 A.M. Pacific Time (“PT”) on April 2, 2025, and ends at 11:59
P.M. PT on August 31, 2025 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Entries that are submitted before or
after the Sweepstakes Period will be disqualified. The Sweepstakes Period will be divided into
five (5) separate entry periods (each an “Entry Period”, and collectively, the “Entry Periods”) as
follows:
Month 1 Entry Period: 12:00 A.M. PT on April 2, 2025, until 11:59 P.M. PT on April 30, 2025
Month 2 Entry Period: 12:00 A.M. PT on May 1, 2025, until 11:59 P.M. PT on May 31, 2025
Month 3 Entry Period: 12:00 A.M. PT on June 1, 2025, until 11:59 P.M. PT on June 30, 2025.
Month 4 Entry Period: 12:00 A.M. PT on July 1, 2025, until 11:59 P.M. PT on July 30, 2025.
Month 5 Entry Period: 12:00 A.M. PT on August 1, 2025, until 11:59 P.M. PT on August 31,
2025.
4. How to Enter
You may enter the Sweepstakes during an Entry Period in one (1) of the two (2) following ways:
(a) the Program Method or (b) the Entry Form Method. No other method of entry will be
accepted. Limit one (1) entry for each Child per Entry Period, regardless of method of entry.
Additional entries beyond the specified limit will be void. Non-winning eligible entries from one
Entry Period Drawing will not carry over to or be eligible for subsequent Entry Periods.
1. Program Method: You may enter the Sweepstakes during an Entry Period by registering your
You may enter the Sweepstakes during an Entry Period by registering your
Child in the Dodgers Reading Champions program (“Program”) by completing the requested
information in the online registration form. You will track the minutes and books your Child
reads during such Entry Period, using the online tracking form. The tracking forms completed
online will be automatically submitted through the website
at www.ladodgersreadingchampions.com at the end of the Entry Period. You will be entered into
the Level 1 Drawing for that Entry Period if your Child tracks at least 450 minutes and no more
than 899 minutes of reading time in such Entry Period. You will be entered into the Level 2
Drawing for that Entry Period if your Child tracks 900 or more minutes of reading time in such
Entry Period.
2. Entry Form Method:
If you wish to enter the Sweepstakes without having to register your
Child in the Program or track their reading time, you may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting the
website at www.ladodgersreadingchampions.com during an Entry Period and downloading and
completing an offline entry form. You may submit the entry form by mail to Dodgers Reading
Champions Sweepstakes c/o ENP, 44 South Broadway, Suite 100, White Plains, New York
10601. All entries mailed must be postmarked by the end of the applicable Entry Period or the
next business day should the Entry Period fall on a weekend or holiday. By successfully
completing and submitting the entry form as directed, you will receive one (1) entry in the
Sweepstakes for both the Level 1 Drawing and Level 2 Drawing of the applicable Entry Period.
Entrants must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested on the entry form to be
eligible. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries are void. Entry Form Method entries become the
property of the Administrator and will not be returned.
5. Sweepstakes Recipient Selection
All entries will be received and recorded by the Administrator’s computer. Five (5) to seven (7)
days following the end of each Entry Period, the Administrator will randomly select five (5)
potential winners from among all eligible Program Method entries received for the Level 1
Drawing and all eligible Entry Form Method entries received for the corresponding Entry Period,
provided there are at least five (5) eligible entries for that Entry Period; and five (5) potential
winners from among all eligible Program Method entries received for the Level 2 Drawing and
all eligible Entry Form Method entries received for the corresponding Entry Period, provided
there are at least five (5) eligible entries for that Entry Period.
Book titles and responses to readings will not affect odds of winning. The odds of being selected
as a potential Level 1 Prize winner of the Sweepstakes depend on the number of eligible Level 1
Program Method entries and the total number of eligible Entry Form Method entries received for
the corresponding Entry Period; and the odds of being selected as a potential Level 2 Prize
winner of the Sweepstakes depend on the number of eligible Level 2 Program Method entries
and the total number of eligible Entry Form Method entries received for the corresponding Entry
Period. The Administrator will attempt to notify the potential winners via telephone or email
within five (5) days after the corresponding drawing. If a potential winner cannot be contacted
within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Administrator may
select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning,
eligible entries for the applicable Level and Entry Period. The Administrator's computer is the
official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. Subject to verification of eligibility and
compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winners will be declared the official winners
of the Sweepstakes.
6. Prizes
The "Prizes" for the Sweepstakes will be as
follows:
Month 1 Drawing:
Month 1 Level 1 Prize: Five (5) Month 1 Level 1 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded promotional merchandise to
be determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (Approximate Retail Value [“ARV”] per
Month 1 Level 1 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 1 Level 2 Prize: Five (5) Month 1 Level 2 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive the opportunity for their Child to receive social media recognition on Dodgers
Foundation’s Instagram account (nature and duration at the Sponsors’ sole discretion) and the
winner will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 1 Level 2 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 2 Drawing:
Month 2 Level 1 Prize: Five (5) Month 2 Level 1 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded promotional items to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 2 Level 1 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 2 Level 2 Prize: Five (5) Month 2 Level 2 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive the opportunity for their Child to receive social media recognition on Dodgers
Foundation’s Instagram account (nature and duration at the Sponsors’ sole discretion) and the
winner will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 2 Level 2 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 3 Drawing:
Month 3 Level 1 Prize: Five (5) Month 3 Level 1 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be determined
by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 3 Level 1 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 3 Level 2 Prize: Five (5) Month 3 Level 2 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive the opportunity for their Child to receive social media recognition on Dodgers
Foundation’s Instagram account (nature and duration at the Sponsors’ sole discretion) and the
winner will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 3 Level 2 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 4 Drawing:
Month 4 Level 1 Prize: Five (5) Month 4 Level 1 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be determined
by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 4 Level 1 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 4 Level 2 Prize: Five (5) Month 4 Level 2 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive the opportunity for their Child to receive social media recognition on Dodgers
Foundation’s Instagram account (nature and duration at the Sponsors’ sole discretion) and the
winner will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 4 Level 2 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 5 Drawing:
Month 5 Level 1 Prize: Five (5) Month 5 Level 1 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be determined
by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 5 Level 1 Prize: $10.00.)
Month 5 Level 2 Prize: Five (5) Month 5 Level 2 Prizes will be awarded as follows: each winner
will receive the opportunity for their Child to receive social media recognition on Dodgers
Foundation’s Instagram account (nature and duration at the Sponsors’ sole discretion) and the
winner will receive one (1) prize pack with Los Angeles Dodgers-branded merchandise to be
determined by the Sponsors at their sole discretion. (ARV per Month 5 Level 2 Prize: $10.00.)
Total ARV of all Prizes for the Sweepstakes: $500
All Prize details, including, without limitation, the promotional items to be included in the prize
packs, the specific social media account for the recognition, and the nature, content, frequency,
and duration and placement of such social media recognition, shall be determined in the sole and
absolute discretion of the Sponsors. Each winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable
federal, state, territory, provincial, and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All
costs and expenses associated with the Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being
provided are the sole responsibility of each individual winner. The Prizes are non-transferable
and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions except at the Sponsors’ sole and absolute
discretion. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute any Prize (or any portion thereof) with a
prize of comparable or greater value at their sole and absolute discretion.
7. General Conditions
In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any
way for any reason, including, but not limited to, fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human
intervention, or other technical problem, or in the event the Sweepstakes is unable to run as
planned for any other reason, as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion, the Sponsors
may, in their sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and
then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules,
or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, award the Prizes at random
from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The
Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be
tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation
of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt to damage
the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of
criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to
seek damages (including attorneys’ fees) and any other remedies from any person responsible for
the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsors to enforce any
provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
8. Release and Limitations of Liability
By entering you agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator and the
Sponsors, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Potential winners will be notified by
email or telephone. Entry materials become the sole property of the Administrator and will not
be acknowledged or returned. Acceptance of any Prize constitutes permission for the Sponsors
and the MLB Entities to use the winner’s and Child’s name, likeness, hometown, photograph,
voice, and video statements, and a brief description of the winner’s entry submissions, without
further compensation, except where prohibited by law, in all media, now known or hereafter
discovered, worldwide in any media, including, without limitation, on the World Wide Web and
Internet, at any time (or times), for advertising, trade, commercial, and promotional purposes,
without notice, review or approval. You will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of
Eligibility, and a Liability and, unless prohibited by law, Publicity Release within seven (7) days
after notification attempt or the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be
randomly drawn as set forth above. Nothing herein will obligate the Sponsors, the MLB Entities,
or the Administrator to make any use of any of the rights set forth herein. Taxes, if any, related to
the Prize are the sole responsibility of each individual Prize winner. No responsibility or liability
is assumed by the Released Parties (as defined below) for damages, losses, or injury resulting
from acceptance or use of the Prize. The Sponsors, the MLB Entities, and the Administrator are
not responsible for deliveries or any failure to deliver by any courier or postal service, technical,
hardware, software or telephone, or facsimile malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable
network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, or delayed electronic
communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with
or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the
entries in the Sweepstakes. No responsibility is assumed by the Released Parties for lost,
misdirected, illegible, damaged, postage due or late mailed entries. The Sponsors reserve the
right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with
the entry process; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner,
or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. The Sponsors, the MLB
Entities, the Administrator, Facebook, and each of their respective parent, affiliates, officers,
directors, agents, and employees (collectively, the “Released Parties”) shall have no liability or
responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes or the
Prize awarded. Each winner assumes all liability for any injury to winner or Child or damage
caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in the Sweepstakes or use or redemption of the
Prize. The Released Parties make no warranties, express or implied, relative to the use or
enjoyment of the Prize (or any portion thereof) including, without limitation, its quality,
merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to
indemnify, hold harmless, and fully release the Released Parties from any and all claims,
demands, losses, promises, causes of action, and/or liabilities for any injuries, losses, death, or
damages of any kind caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by participation in, or
preparation for, the Sweepstakes, Sweepstakes-related activity, or entrant’s entry, or resulting
from the acceptance, possession, quality, use, or misuse of any Prize (or any portion thereof)
including any travel or activity related thereto. If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as
planned for any reason, including, without limitation, as a result of infection by computer virus,
bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, cancellation of games, or
any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper
conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Administrator and Sponsor reserve the right, at their sole and
absolute discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes, to disqualify any
individual who tampers with the entry process, and, if terminated, to determine the winners for
the applicable Entry Period, if any, from among all eligible, non-suspect entries submitted up to
the point of termination for the applicable Entry Period and drawing as set forth above. All entry
data provided online is provided to the Administrator and not to Facebook. The Sweepstakes is
in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entries
generated by a script, macro, or other mechanical or automated means will be disqualified.
9. Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
As a condition of entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that (a) any and all disputes,
claims, controversies, or causes of action arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes or any
prizes awarded (each, a "Claim") shall be (i) arbitrated on an individual basis only and shall not
be consolidated or joined with or in any arbitration or other proceeding involving a Claim of any
other party and (ii) settled by binding arbitration in New York County, New York before a single
arbitrator appointed by JAMS in accordance with its then governing rules and procedures, and
judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered by any court having
jurisdiction thereof; and (b) under no circumstance will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for,
and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other
damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. These Official Rules shall be governed by
and construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, U.S.A,
applicable to contracts entered into and performed exclusively in that State.
10. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to Administrator's privacy policy located at LA Dodgers Reading Champions Privacy Policy. Any data shared with the Sponsors for Sweepstakes administration purposes will be subject to and treated in a manner consistent with the Sponsors'; Privacy Policy located at MLB Privacy Policy.
11. Official Rules and Winner List
To request a written/printed copy of these Official Rules, send a self- addressed, stamped
envelope to LA Reading Champions Sweepstakes c/o EduNetwork Partners, Inc., 44 South
Broadway, Suite 100, White Plains, New York 10601. Official Rules requests will only be
accepted before the Sweepstakes start date (listed above). To request a list of the names of the
winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to EduNetwork Partners, Inc., 44 South
Broadway, Suite 100, White Plains, New York 10601. Winner list requests will only be accepted
after the Sweepstakes end date (listed above).
12. Sponsors
The Sponsors of the Sweepstakes are Los Angeles Dodgers LLC and The Los Angeles Dodgers
Foundation, 1000 Vin Scully Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90012.
